Abdul El-Sayed, is an American physician, epidemiologist, public health expert, and candidate for Governor of Michigan, running as a Democrat. He served as the Executive Director of the Detroit Health Department and Health Officer for the City of Detroit from 2015-2017. Appointed at 30 years old, he was the youngest health commissioner in a major US City. Previously, he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Columbia University.

Stephanie Kelton is an American economist and Professor of Public Policy and Economics at Stony Brook University.She was formerly Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, Chief Economist on the U.S. Senate Budget Committee 2015 minority party staff and an Economic Advisor to Bernie Sanders' 2016 presidential campaign.
